This project is committed to the education of our people via the medium of cinema and pan-African cinema as a whole. Virgo Foundation wishes to kick start the concept of Open air cinema by installing an outdoor cinema on the island of Tarkwa Bay in Lagos.
The inhabitants of this island for years have played host to the ex-pat community and visiting tourists. We aim to start this project by providing cinema free of charge to the people of Tarkwa Bay. We shall also endeavour to build a musical stage to entertain audiences after the screenings.
